The mod is save game compatible, so you can load a game before realm divide occurs to prevent it from happening. Unlike the vanilla game you can make the Ashikaga Shogunate your vassals without any diplomatic consequences. Note: Realm divide will still occur if you take Kyoto from the Ashikaga Shogunate.
